Our founding principle—that Outdoor Living is an art, not an afterthought—still drives us today as Colorado’s most innovative Deck and Patio company.

Our vast expertise includes maintenance free decks, patios, outdoor kitchens, outdoor living rooms, and much more. Our Team

Gail Hystad

Owner, Senior Project Manager

Co-founder of the company, Gail has a hands-on approach in regard to running the business as well as in her style as a project manager. After more than 30 years of overseeing the construction of Outdoor Living spaces, she has yet to meet a problem she can’t solve. Her vast knowledge set of the construction industry including materials, framing specifications and building codes make her an effective mentor for our project management team. She is an integral part of the day to day operations in the field and in the office. When she does find some free time, she enjoys fishing, gardening, and spending time with her family and their many beloved pets.

David Schwank

Owner, Vice President

David has spent more than two decades becoming one of the country’s most talented Outdoor Living Designers. He loves giving his clients a personal Outdoor Living space they can enjoy year-round. He has a keen artistic vision, strong respect for his clients’ needs, and is always in tune with current Outdoor Living trends. David has designed some of our greatest projects, many of which have been featured in popular publications including 5280 Magazine. In addition to spending time with family and friends, David enjoys fishing, sailing, and playing poker.

Klint Reiber

Owner, Outdoor Living Designer

Klint oversees operations of our Englewood Showroom and designs for both our Colorado Springs and Englewood locations. He loves to serve his clients within a range of simple to over the top Year-Round Outdoor Living Spaces. His attention to detail, creativity in design, and business degree have all guided his success. He started from the ground up, on our demo crew over 15 years ago. Klint loves spending time with his wife and two young children, whether it’s biking easy trails, swimming in a crowded lake, or engaging in a family dance party.

Andy Hashman

Outdoor Living Designer, VP of Northern Operations

In addition to overseeing operations at our Boulder County location, Andy has held roles in nearly every phase of our design-build process during his long history with the company. As a designer, he approaches every project, no matter the size or scope, with the goal of giving his clients an amazing outdoor space that is perfect for their lifestyle while respecting their budget and enhancing their home’s existing architecture. He especially enjoys building relationships with his clients and always goes the extra mile to ensure their projects run smoothly from concept to completion. Andy likes to spend his free time with his family and also enjoys golfing and riding his motorcycle.

Jason Buresh

Senior Project Manager

Jason’s many years working as a general contractor as well as his construction management experience have given him the background knowledge to be one of our most accomplished project managers. He combines this experience with excellent communication and organizational skills to efficiently align client expectations with the designers’ visions. Seeing his clients’ excitement and satisfaction when their Outdoor Living spaces are finished is his favorite part of the job. When Jason is not at work, he enjoys fishing, snowboarding and competing in pool tournaments.

Tim Gower

Project Manager

Tim has nearly 30 years of experience in the construction industry, including many as a general contractor. This experience has given him the tools necessary to lead his team through the construction of some of the most elaborate projects from start to finish seamlessly. Tim loves his work at Mosaic because our outstanding projects always amaze and exceed the expectations of our clients. In his free time, Tim enjoys playing the drums and spending time with his family and friends.

Jacob Dornbrack

Project Manager

Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and has been working in residential construction since 2001. He is attentive and thorough in his project management style and it is obvious he takes great pride in his work. His favorite part about Mosaic is that each project is unique and custom so he never builds the same thing twice. Jacob enjoys hanging out with his family and dogs as well as camping and woodworking in his spare time.

Michael Ruemmele

Project Manager

Michael’s 20 years of experience in the construction industry includes, roofing preservation, home renovation and catastrophe response management in addition to Outdoor Living construction management. Michael is a knowledgeable and conscientious project manager. He loves to see what he and his team can accomplish with hard work — the transformation of something run down or nonexistent into a remarkable space. Michael likes to spend time surrounded in beauty in his spare time as well. His says his ultimate goal is to wake up every day and see something gorgeous, and Colorado has never let him down.

Sarah Nave

Office Manager

Sarah has fulfilled many roles in the home improvement industry over the last 8 years. Starting as a door knocker, she worked her way up to a business to business sales role that catapulted her career as our newest office manager! She manages the Louisville office on top of handling our social media accounts and search engine optimization. Sarah is an Illinois native loving everything that Colorado has to offer. In her personal time she loves to camp, cook, garden, and roller-skate!

Jon Sorenson

Senior Level Builder

Jon has nearly two decades of carpentry experience, including home building, remodeling, and Outdoor Living. Jon has always loved working and creating things with his hands and feels honored to be working with such amazing peers. He is very committed to quality and detail on his projects. Not only does Jon take pride in his work, but also the relationships he builds with his clients. When Jon isn’t working hard, he is enjoying time with his friends and family, going to church, water sports, fishing, camping, and traveling.

Sean Thomas

CAD Manager, 3D CAD Designer

Sean spent many years in retail management before returning to school to earn an Associate’s degree in Computer-Aided Design. Sean loves putting the final touches on a design, seeing it become realistic within the software and especially seeing it truly come to life on the job site. He prides himself on his attention to the details and features that make Mosaic projects stand out in terms of quality and aesthetic appeal. In his spare time, Sean loves playing the guitar and spending time in the Colorado Rocky Mountains camping, jeeping and hiking.

Nikki Longalong

CAD Designer

Nikki studied computer science and has 15 years of experience in design. He has worked as a video editor and graphic designer and 3D CAD designer. Nikki loves to see our clients’ excitement when they see the 3D perspective of how their Outdoor Living project will look. He also loves seeing the designs come to life in reality. Nikki is a tech enthusiast who enjoys traveling, watching movies, spending time with his wife and being involved with his church.

Shannon Musgrave

Office Manager

Shannon splits her time between our Colorado Springs and Englewood locations. Her background in office administration includes human resources, digital marketing as well as sales. Shannon is one of our outdoor furniture consultants and also coordinates scheduling for our field crews. She enjoys the versatility of her position at Mosaic and the opportunity to learn new skills all while building relationships with her clients and coworkers. In her free time, Shannon enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and snowboarding as well as painting and playing the guitar.

Jeanie Lloyd

Project Manager

Jeanie is a returning employee; committed to continuing the tradition of quality, customer service, and customer satisfaction, she brings her experience and expertise to our amazing team. Her attention to detail and problem-solving ability make her an asset for everyone. Jeanie was a team member in the early days of the company, leaving when her family moved up north. Her collaborative methods and team mentality are welcomed back to the company. Jeanie has one grown son, and enjoys spending her free time with her family.

Reyes Ramos

Project Manager

Reyes is a veteran who spent 6 years as a fueler for the Army before he joined the Mosaic team. In addition to leading our Englewood labor force, he has been our go-to specialist for Low Voltage Lighting for the past 4 years. Reyes is known for his excellent work ethic and reliability with clients and co-workers. He enjoys the transformation of our projects from start to finish and loves seeing homeowners happy with the finished product. In his free time, Reyes enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 kids as well as camping and fishing on the river.
