When Mary and her husband first imagined enhancing their outdoor space, they had no idea just how magical it would become.
"We never could have imagined this or dreamed this up," she says, smiling. "It’s more than we ever could have imagined."
Their once small, six-by-three-foot deck—barely large enough for a grill—has transformed into a stunning, all-season outdoor living room. With full roof coverage, wind walls, and built-in heaters, Meredith and her family enjoy cozy evenings outside, even on Colorado’s coldest nights.
"We’ve been out here on some of the coldest nights. You look out the window and no one else is outside—but we are," she said with laughter.
Whether it’s a casual morning coffee date or a family game night under the stars, this space has redefined how they spend time together.
"My husband and I have coffee dates out here. It feels very fancy—five-star accommodations at my own house."
The enclosed glass allows Mary to enjoy the outdoors rain or shine, whether working, relaxing, or hosting guests. Mood lighting, mountain views, and plans for an outdoor movie projector bring ambiance to every evening.
"When the sun goes down, we pop on the mood lighting, and it just always feels more special."
The addition of a kitchen bar area with storage drawers means no more running inside—everything they need is right at their fingertips.
"I love the glass because I can come out here whenever I want, and do whatever I want—work, relax—rain or shine."
It’s not just a deck. It’s where laughter echoes after dinner, where the kids will grow up watching movies under the stars, and where memories are made—all year long.
"We have so many places now where we can just sit and look at the mountains. It’s beautiful. It’s perfect."
For Mary, it’s more than an outdoor space—it’s a lifestyle.
